Joey Mark Locker Obituary
Joey Mark Locker, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by those that loved him at the age of 66. He was a devoted member of the Howell Cumberland Presbyterian Church and cherished his family above all.
Joey was born in Fayetteville, Tennessee, to the late Joe and Gracie Locker and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Lela Locker and Alvie and Pearl Sharpe. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 48 years, Fran Cummins Locker; children, Will and Kerri Locker, Sheley and Chad Cowley; and his cherished grandchildren Andy Locker, Paisley Cowley, Ben Locker, Hudson Cowley, Brody and Makenzie Grimes, and his beloved “hound”, Maverick.
Joey dedicated over 20 years to his work at Murfreesboro Pure Milk and served as manager at Holiday Landing and Blue Gill Grill. He had a passion for fishing, enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sports, and loved tuning in to “The Beverly Hillbillies” and “The Andy Griffith Show.” He also enjoyed participating in the Fabulous Fifties Show, where he brought joy and laughter to many through his performances.
A service to honor his life was held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home, officiated by “The Reverend” Todd Gaskill. Burial followed at Unity Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Andy and Ben Locker, Chad and Hudson Cowley, Brody Grimes, Dennis Knott, Ryan Raby, Steve Shelton, and Braxton Whitt.
Joey will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and dedication to his family.
