Michael Thompson, 54, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2024. He was born in Madison County, Alabama, on Aug. 18, 1970, to the late Walter and Janice Thompson.

Michael was married to his wife, Christi Thompson, for 34 years. Together they share three children, Kyle Thompson (Kelsey Mitchell), Haley Thompson (Scott McDaniel) and Torie Thompson (Ethan Frink). He loved his family dearly; especially spending time with his grandsons, Jackson, Liam, and Bennett McDaniel. He was an avid fisherman, and Georgia Bulldogs fan. You could hear Michael humming the tunes of “Sanford & Son” or “Andy Griffith” almost any time, day or night. Michael was witty and loved to joke with everyone. He also enjoyed cooking for his family and enjoying their company. Michael was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life was held Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Cody Swinford offering words of comfort.
