Robert “Bob” Bruce Langenberg Obituary
Robert “Bob” Bruce Langenberg, 90, of Taft, Tennessee, passed away peacefully Dec. 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
A funeral service was held on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, at Higgins Funeral Home. Bro. Billy Hall officiated the ceremony with the burial at Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Bob was born on April 16, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Edward Clarence Langenberg Jr. and Genevieve Marion Celebucki Langenberg. He spent his career as a skilled printing pressman, was a man of deep Christian faith, and served in the Illinois National Guard. Known for his creativity and craftsmanship, Bob had an incredible ability to transform discarded materials into works of art. One of his proudest projects was a model train board, crafted entirely from salvaged pieces — a testament to his resourcefulness and vision.
He is survived by his daughters, Lois (Chris) Visconti of Anaheim, California, and Jackie (Dennis) Casey of Taft, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Jennifer Visconti and BobbyJoe (Aubrey) Mendoza; his sister, Genevieve “Jean” Shaff; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jackie Langenberg, in 2023, and his brother, Ron Langenberg.
