James Gayre Jean Obituary
James Gayre Jean, 77, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on Nov. 22, 1947, to the late James Fleetwood and Thelma Jean Curry Jean. He was a former employee of Goodman and was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death one sister, LaBrenda Jean Sullivan.
Mr. Jean is survived by one daughter, Lisa Atchley of Taft, Tennessee; one son, James (Sarah) Jean Jr. of Meridianville, Alabama; three grandchildren, Crystal (Brad) Suggs, Logan (Bayleigh) Atchley and Braysen Jean; two great-grandchildren, Harrison Suggs and Hensley Suggs; two sisters, Darlean (David) Sullivan and Karon (Charles) Weatherman; two brothers, Dane Jean and Nyle (Cindy) Jean; and one god-grandson, Ryan Dollar.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Lones and the Rev. Eric Lones officiating. Burial followed in Stateline Cemetery.
