Linda Buckner, 78, of Taft, Tennessee, passed away March 6, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Higgins Funeral Home, with Pastor Lon Ostrzycki officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 12 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home.

Linda was born on Dec. 6, 1946, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to the late John Edgar Womack and Annie Ruth Owens Womack. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and also attended Bethlehem Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed walking, spending time outdoors, crocheting, and reading.

Linda is survived by her son, Stephen Buckner of Taft; her sister, Frances Womack (Charles) Gault; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Leland Buckner; and her brother, Curtis Harold Womack.
