Benny Wilson Groce was born Sept. 11, 1934, to Mr. Will and Mrs. Gladys Groce. He was raised by them in Belleville with his siblings, Evelyn, Billy, Betty Jo, and Jerry. He met his wife Rebecca “Becky” Jackson, and they became high school sweethearts, went on to marry, and began a wonderful, hard-working life together.

Benny is survived by his children, Nancy Rogers, Bryan (Suzi) Groce, and Jennifer (Pat) Turpen. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry; and grandchildren, Lindsey (Stacy) Smith, Ben (Mallory) Pitts, Rebecca Turpen, Adam Groce, and Jeremy (Dina) Groce. He has several great-grandchildren he was blessed to spend time with.

Mr. Groce spent his entire adult life supporting the cattle industry in Lincoln County through his business, Farmers Auction. He was known for his integrity and honesty in his business dealings. He was generous in both his business and personal life.

A funeral service was held Friday, June 13, 2015, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Wiser officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
