Robert E. McCrory Jr. (Coy) Obituary

Robert E. McCrory Jr. (Coy), 62, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, peacefully in his home surrounded by family. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on Aug. 14, 1962.

He worked for Wrights Paving driving a dump truck full time. When the weather had a different plan, he would work for Chad Mullins. When he was young, he worked for Jerry Mullins Construction.

Coy’s greatest joy came from his family — especially his three grandsons. To them he wasn’t just Papa — he was their hero, their biggest fan and their best friend. He loved every minute spent with them. Coy also had a passion for Tennessee Vols football and riding his motorcycle.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert E. McCrory.

Coy is survived by his wife, Cynthia McCrory; mother, Virginia McCrory; sister, Teresa Price; daughters, Brandy (Brent) Tipper and Leslie McCrory; grandchildren, Piper Higgs, Parker Frame, Case Taylor and Colt Tippe; great-grandchild, Paislynn Belle; nieces and so many friends he loved.

A celebration of life will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Fund in memory of Coy.
