Kelton Ray King Obituary
Kelton Ray King of the Vanntown community passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, while at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was 76 and had co-owned and operated King Brothers Construction with his brother, Phillip, for over 50 years. He was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.
He was born July 24, 1948, in Lincoln County, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Willie B “Spunk” and Hazel Williams King; his brother, Kenneth King.
Kelton was a devoted son, brother and uncle to his family. Left behind to cherish his memory is his brother, Willie G. King (Sherry); his brother, Phillip King (Michele); his sister, Charlotte Hillis (Garry); his sister, Glenice Edwards (Terry); his sister, Darlene Clardy (Johnny); nieces, Christy (Rickey) Clemons, Nicole (Freddie) White, Elizabeth (Drew) Cline, Hannah (Steven) Downes, Tammy (Craig) Wells, Lauren (James) Byrnes; nephews, Michael King, Brian (LaTonya) King, Landon King, Rodney (Tracy) Hillis, Travis (Hannah) Hillis, Jay (Michele) Edwards and George Shelton; his precious nurses, Jessica, Tammy, Crystal and Sophie; and many cherished friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in the chapel of Hazel Green Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Clardy and Garrett Clemons officiating. Burial followed at Lincoln Cemetery.
