Joe Carlton Pool, 83, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025. He was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on Nov. 13, 1941, to the late Nathan Wiley and Daisy Gertrude Cothren Pool. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Louise Marlow and five brothers, Malcom Pool, Robert Pool, Bobby Pool, Homer Bunn and Clydie Bunn and son-in-law, Dwight Ratley. He was the owner of B & P Pest control and was a member of Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Eleanor Pool; son, Glyn (Julie) Pool, daughter, Rita Ratley; granddaughters, Ashlee Pool, Bethany Pool, Jessica Kimbrough, and Kristen (Chris) Fields; great-grandchildren, Chloe Kimbrough, Abby Kimbrough, Zach Kimbrough and Tanner Fields; brothers, JW (Patsy) Poole and Roy (Laurie) Poole, and sisters-in-law, Mary Poole and Irene Bunn.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Glyn Pool and Bro. Clayton Bunn officiating. Burial followed in Stateline Cemetery with Bro. Rusty Lincoln officiating.
