Michael Palmer Jones, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 20, 2025.

Michael was born on June 25, 1945, in Frankfort, Kentucky, to the late Murphy and Marjorie Jones. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was marked by hard work and love for his family.

Michael was a member of the West Fayetteville Church of Christ.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Nell C. Jones; his children, Brian W. Jones, Scotty P. Jones (Ginger), and D. Michelle Jones (Shayne); his grandchildren, Kayleigh Conley (Trevor), Eli Jones, Chloe Jones, Brandon Jones, Larry Potts, and Kimberly Jones; and his cherished great-grandchildren, twins Finn and Rowan Conley.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Steve Jones; and his sister, Kathy Jones Presti.

Michael retired from Copperweld in 2001 after 17 years of dedicated service.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at West Fayetteville Church of Christ in Fayetteville, Tennessee. The service will be officiated by Michael and Nell’s children and their nephew, Jason Caldwell.

Donations may be made in Michael’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
