Margie Joyce Dodson, 88, of Valhermoso Springs, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on Nov. 7, 1937, to the late Avery Hanley and Bonnie Mae Counts Dodson. Joyce was retired from General Motors.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Eula, Wilma, Annie, Laura and Edna; and brothers, Thomas Avery, James, Robert and Wayne.

Ms. Dodson is survived by her nieces, Faye Oliver, Janice Anderson, Gail Corder (Gary), Mitzi Gonzales (Julian), Jacqueline Vaughn (Max), Janet Mercier (Greg); nephews, Glen Dodson (Patricia), Billy Dodson, Larry Dodson (Karen), Ed Dodson, Tom Howard (Mary Jane), Jerry Harmening (Jane), Ronald Harmening, Larry Staton, Robert Dodson Jr. (Betsy), Nick McDaniel; many grandnieces and grandnephews, as well as several great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Dodson officiating. Burial followed in Morgan Cemetery.
