Linda Ellis Magnusson Obituary

Linda Ellis Magnusson, 84, of Ardmore, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at Elk River Health & Nursing Center of Ardmore located in Ardmore, Tennessee.

She was born on Saturday, April 5, 1941, to Eugene Ellis and Ina Strawn Ellis in Alabama.

Linda lived the last 66 years of her life in Ardmore. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ardmore where she played the piano for 34 years, and worked with the Cubbies in Awana. She was a very kind, compassionate and caring person. She retired at age 80 with 35 years of service as a civil servant at Redstone Arsenal. She was also an X-ray technician.

Linda loved spending time with her family. She was a talented seamstress, cake decorator, as well as an artist.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, and son-in-law, Bryan Hursman.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Mike Magnusson, of Ardmore, Tennessee; three daughters, Kerri Pack of Ardmore, Tennessee, Darla Hursman of Ardmore, Alabama, and Sheree (Gary) Fox of Troy, Alabama; two brothers, Kenneth (Shirley) Ellis and Rex (Dianne) Ellis, all of Boaz, Alabama; one uncle, David (Teresa) Ellis of Boaz, Alabama; eight grandchildren, Hunter (Lauren) Pack, Carson (Molly) Pack, Hannah Hursman, David Hursman, Michael (Brittany) Fox, Nathan (Jojo) Fox, Reilly (Sydney) Fox, Lindsey (Alex) Rogers; 10 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held for Mrs. Magnusson on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama. The funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Mac McCutchen and Barry Doss officiating. Burial followed in Gatlin Cemetery, located in Ardmore, Alabama.

Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
