Fayetteville High School’s Tigers dropped a nail-biter Friday night, falling 48-49 to Cascade’s Champions.
The game stayed close throughout, with Cascade holding a 1-point lead, 14-13, after the first quarter of play and 22-21 at intermission. The Champions extended the lead to 3, 34-31, after 3 periods of play with the Tigers battling hard in the fourth quarter but coming up just short and falling 48-49.
Earlier in the week, the Tigers hosted a tough Richland Raider team, falling 44-64.
In that game, the Raiders jumped out to an early lead, 19-10, after one period of play and held a 41-22 lead at intermission. By the end of the third, the Tigers trailed 57-32 before taking the 44-64 loss.
