The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s (TWRA) Hunter Education Field Day event is slated for Sept. 21 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Fayetteville High School, located at 1800 Wilson Parkway.
All students must pre-register online at https://twra.state.tn.us/HunterEdEventRegistration/.
This course is offered free of charge to anyone interested regardless of age; however, you must be nine years of age by Sept. 21 or older in order to become a certified hunter education graduate. Anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1969 wishing to hunt in the state of Tennessee must have completed and passed the hunters education class.
All students must first complete a TWRA approved online Hunter Education course. Online course info can be found at https://tn.gov/twra/article/hunter-education.
After classroom instruction, the group will break for lunch and return for testing and qualifying shooting in the afternoon.
Students must bring the field day voucher showing you completed the online course and two #2 pencils. Absolutely no firearms are allowed at this location.
All cancellations must be made before Friday, Sept. 20, by noon. Per state and federal statutes, your Social Security number is required. If you wish to register for this course but do not have a Social Security Number, please call 615-781-6538 for assistance.
