Middle School Football

Fayetteville Middle School Tigers win at home, 60-16; South Giles, 46, Blanche, 26; South Lincoln, 22, Huntland, 14; Moore County, 36, Unity, 0; Cornersville, 29, Highland Rim, 0.


High School Volleyball

The Lady Tigers picked up a Senior Night win over Giles County, 3-0, with scores 25-15, 25-8, 25-10.

FHS matched up with Columbia Central twice during the week, going down 0-3 in both matches with scores of 18-25, 20-25, 17-25 and 16-25, 15-25, 7-25.

The ladies finished third in the district and will play Community Monday night of this week at 7:30 p.m. at Eagleville. The championship game is Tuesday at 6 p.m.

On Tuesday of last week, the Lady Falcons swept Eagleville on the road. Varsity won, 3-0, by scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-8; JV won, 2-0, by scores of 25-9, 25-22. Thursday in a tri-match, the varsity won over East Limestone, 2-1, and defeated Elkmont, 2-1. The JV beat East Limestone, 2-1. Scores by games were not available.

This week, district tournament action gets underway. Coffee County is the host school. The ladies finished the two seed and take on Columbia Thursday at 6:15 p.m. The championship game follows at 7:30 p.m.


High School Golf

Three members of the Lincoln County High School golf team advanced from the district tournament to the region. Both tournaments were played at Bear Trace.

In the district tournament, Ben Bassham carded an 81; Andy Neal, 84; and Kylie Reese, 98. In the region tournament, Bassham finished with a 77; Neal, 77; and Kylie Reese, 100.


High School Soccer

The Lady Falcons went down on the road to Franklin County, 0-3, in their final district action of the regular season. Adrianna Castillo finished with 13 saves. The ladies had 2 shots on goal.

District Tournament play gets underway Oct. 15. The coaches’ meeting for seeding is this week.
