Lincoln County High School’s Don McNeese will continue as interim head football coach for the remainder of the season.
Coach Tim Johnson was suspended as head coach prior to the Falcons’ game at Shelbyville due to a locker room incident during the previous week.
McNeese took over the coaching duties during the Shelbyville game.
“The Lincoln County High School football team will continue to be led by Interim Head Coach Don McNeese for the remainder of the 2019 season,” said Dr. Bill Heath, director of Lincoln County Schools, in a statement released last week.
“We ask the Falcon football fans to continue to focus on the players and continue to support the student-athletes and Interim Head Coach McNeese and his staff as they prepare for the remaining games of the season.
“Coach Tim Johnson has been reassigned within the district,” he added.
