‘Light Up South Lincoln’ campaign now underway

South Lincoln Sportsplex’s “Light Up South Lincoln” campaign is underway.

The 40-plus-year-old facility continues to improve with additional lights planned to be added to the soccer field this year.

“The vision for the park is that the facility become the park it was intended to be, what Lincoln County deserves, a haven for kids to grow, learn, and compete while having fun.”

South Lincoln supports a verity of sports, providing playing fields for softball, baseball and soccer. In 2019, 768 kids of a variety of ages participated at the facility. Seventy percent of those are from Lincoln County, 30 percent from north Alabama.

Signage at the soccer facility is available for donations ranging from $250 to $5,000. The campaign goal is $25,000; to date, nearly $15,000 has been raised. Donations of any amount from individuals and businesses are appreciated.

Contributions may be made by check (earmarked Light Up South Lincoln) mailed to South Lincoln Sportsplex, P.O. Box 925, Fayetteville, TN 37334 or by taking donations by First National Bank and asking them to put the donation in the “Light Up South Lincoln” account.
