LCHS tennis by the numbers

Lincoln County’s Falcon team tennis season came to an end last week, going down to Marshall County on the road, 3-4. The Falcons finish their season with a 9-4 record. The duo of Evan Pollard and Caden Teesateskie are still alive in individual doubles action, advancing to the Region 4 tournament to be held May 13 at Old Fort Park in Murfreesboro.

The Lady Falcons advanced in team play with a 5-0 win over Shelbyville and are scheduled for the district championship to be played Monday at 4 p.m. at Marshall County. Lucy Higgins and Julia Marsh have also advanced to the individual Region doubles to be played May 13 in Murfreesboro.

Falcons vs. Marshall County

Individuals: Evan Pollard lost 6-8; Caden Teesateskie won 9-7; Jake Hall won 9-7; Sam Robinson lost 6-8; Trey Gaylen lost 2-8.

Doubles: Pollard/Teesateskie lost 6-8; Robinson/Hall won 9-7.

Lady Falcons vs. Shelbyville

Individuals: Lucy Higgins won 8-0; Julia Marsh won 8-1; Claire Mullins won 8-4; Carlie Mullins won 9-7; Chloe Bridge won 8-4.

Doubles: Were not required to play due to 5-0 sweep.
