Falcon tennis by the numbers
Lincoln County High School’s Falcon tennis team dropped at 3-4 road trip to Tullahoma on Monday of last week. It is the Falcons’ first district loss since 2016. Thursday, LCHS hosted Marshall County, but with the Falcons trailing 2-3, the match was called due to rain. It will be completed on April 16 when Lincoln County travels to Marshall County.
Individuals: Evan Pollard, 3-8; Jake Hall, 3-8; Caden Teesateskie, 8-1; Sam Robinson, 1-8; Trey Galyen, 8-1.
Doubles: Pollard/Teesateskie, 5-8; Robinson/Hall 8-1.
Friday and Saturday: The Falcons played in the Oakland Tournament. Jake Hall won his number two singles pool. Trey Hayek won his number five singles pool. Lake Porter won his number six singles pool. Caden Teesateskie won 3 out of 4 singles matches at the tournament.
Pollard/Teesateskie won their number one doubles pool; Galyen/Porter won their three pool play.
This Week: The Falcons travel to Shelbyville on Monday before hosting Lawrence County on Tuesday and Tullahoma Thursday. Match times are at 4 p.m.
Lady Falcons by the numbers
Lincoln County High School’s Lady Falcon tennis team picked up a 6-1 win on Monday of last week on the road at Tullahoma. Thursday, the ladies match at home with Marshall County had just gotten underway when it was called due to rain. Those matches will be completed on April 16 when LCHS travels to Marshall County.
Individuals: Lucy Higgins, 8-5; Julia Marsh 8-5; Claire Mullins, 8-4; Carlie Mullins, 8-4; Chloe Bridge, 8-3.
Doubles: Higgins/Marsh, 9-7; Lili Sandoval/Whitley Smith, 5-8.
Friday and Saturday: The ladies played in the Oakland Tournament. Lili Sandoval and Julia Marsh went 1-1 in pool play. Higgins/Marsh went 1-1 in doubles pool play with Whitley Smith and Chloe Bridge winning the three doubles pool play.
