Langston to head

Todd Langston

Riverside Christian Academy’s administration and athletic program is excited to introduce Todd Langston as the new Knights baseball head coach.

Langston will be taking the reigns as the Knights head coach after assisting under Riverside’s previous head coach, Kevin Whitworth.

Langston was born in Selma, Ala., on April 20 1976. He graduated from John T. Morgan Academy in 1994. After high school, he attended Auburn University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in forest resources with a minor in business. Langston is currently residing in Hazel Green, Ala.

“God called me to the ministry of baseball over 10 years ago,” Langston said. “During the last 10 years, I have ministered to countless youth and parents, as well as numerous teams in various states.”

Langston is married, and he and his wife have two sons, Wyatt, age 14, and Sawyer, nine. He and his family are members of First Baptist Church of Hazel Green, where he is an active member in the men’s ministry. Langston also serves his church as an usher, a finance committee member, personnel committee member and in the children’s ministry.

He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting white tail deer and ducks and fishing.

RCA’s administration said it strives to find coaches and teachers like Coach Langston who are not only concerned with training the students’ minds and bodies, but also with being a blessing to students and families, as well as an example of Christ’s love.
