Lady Falcons by the numbers
The Lady Falcons’ basketball season came to an end last week in the first round of Region 4 tournament action, going down on the road to Blackman, 60-41. The ladies finish with an impressive 17 win season, finishing as the three seed coming out of the district tournament. Three of the ladies’ district losses to Tullahoma, Coffee County and Franklin County were by a combined 5 points. With no seniors on this year’s team, the future looks strong for the Lady Falcons.
In other first round region action, it was Riverdale, 71, Franklin County, 37; Coffee County, 59, Stewarts Creek, 55; Oakland, 46, Tullahoma, 45. In the second round, it was Riverdale, 57, Coffee County, 48; Oakland, 59, Blackman, 53. Riverdale defeated Oakland, 48-35, in the region championship. Riverdale hosts Stone Memorial, and Oakland travels to Bradley Central in the sectionals.
