Fayetteville Middle School’s Tigers won the Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association Middle TN East Area Championship held at Lincoln County High School last week.
The Tigers finished on top of the Moore County Raiders, 40-34, to take the championship.
Fayetteville advanced to the title game with a 59-56 double overtime win over Smith County in the semifinals. Moore County earned its spot defeating Huntland, 38-19, in the semifinals.
Receiving All-Tournament honors from Fayetteville were KJ Jackson, Teondre Love and Kentius Henderson. Love was also selected as tournament MVP. Getting the nod from Moore County were Keller Morey, Logan Heywood and Alex Copeland.
