LC baseball by the numbers

Lincoln County’s Falcon baseball team split in district action last week against Tullahoma. Tuesday, the Falcons went down at home, 5-4. Wednesday, the Falcons came back strong, picking up a 10-3 win on the road.

Monday night’s match-up was a barnburner down to the wire. Ben Walp went yard in the sixth, making it at 5-4 ball game. Down by one in the bottom of the seventh, the Falcons had bases loaded with one out but couldn’t reach home plate.

The Lighthouse Classic originally scheduled for Friday was postponed until Saturday but was cancelled Saturday morning due to rain.

Currently, LCHS is 9-11 overall and 5-5 in district play.

This Week: The Falcons travel to Shelbyville on Tuesday before hosting the Eagles on Wednesday. Games get underway at 6 p.m. Thursday, they travel to Marshall County before hosting the Tigers on Friday. Game times are at 6:30 p.m.
