LC baseball by the numbers

Lincoln County High School’s Falcon baseball team split in out-of-district action last week. Friday, LC lost a heart-breaker, 4-3, to Columbia Academy. The Falcons scored one in the bottom of the seventh but left the field with bases loaded.

Saturday, the Falcons won big over Cookeville, 13-4. Devin Gifford had a stellar day at the plate, driving in 6 runs.

Currently, LCHS is 7-8 overall and 3-3 in district action.

Cookeville

This week: The Falcons return to district play, hosting Lawrence County on Tuesday before traveling to meet the Wildcats for the second game of the series on Wednesday. First pitch is at 6 p.m. Friday, the Falcons travel to Grissom with a 6 p.m. start before taking on Loretto on the road Saturday starting at 5:30 p.m.
