LCHS Tennis finish as top seed

Lincoln County’s Lucy Higgins returns a forehand in the Lady Falcons match last week with Franklin Co. The ladies finished their regular season at 13-0 led by Higgins who did not loose a match.

 

Lincoln County High Schools Tennis teams wrapped up their regular season last week and the ladies finish at 13-0 and the Falcons, 12-1. The boys only loss coming to Wilson Central in an out-of-district match-up.

The finish gives both the girls and boys teams the top seed going into the district tournament that will be played in Shelbyville on Thursday and Friday of this week. The coaches’ meeting for scheduling will be held on Monday.

Singles – Lucy Higgins won 8-0; Claire Mullins won 8-4; Carlie Mullins won 8-6; Emma Fraley won 8-4; Calee Gentry lost 4-8

Doubles – Lucy Higgins/Emma Fraley won 8-6; Clarlie Mullins, Claire Mullins won 8-2.

Falcons

Singles – Caden Teesateskie won 8-4; Coleman Bain won 8-2; Carter Monks won 8-1; Sam Robinson won 8-0; Lake Porter won 8-1

Doubles – Caden Teesateskie/Sam Robinson won 9-8 (7-6); Carter Monks/Coleman Bain won 8-1
