Lady Tigers tip off season, get big win over Shelbyville

Fayetteville High School’s Lady Tigers kicked off basketball season before Thanksgiving, getting a couple of road wins, including a big win over 3A Shelbyville.

The Lady Tigers played up in the Hall of Champions game on Tuesday, Nov. 17, falling to the always-tough Riverdale squad, 33-70. FHS then traveled to Marshall County two nights later for another Hall of Champions game, getting the win, 36-22.

During Thanksgiving week, the Lady Tigers participated in the Moore County Tip-Off Tournament, falling on the first night to the host Lady Raiders, 34-46, before returning two nights later to get a big 52-43 win over the ladies from Shelbyville, a 3A school.
