Lady Falcon Volleyball split in week’s action

Lincoln County High School’s Lady Falcons split in out of district action last week. Tuesday the ladies came from behind for a 3-2 win over Eagleville. The JV finished with the win 2-0.

Varsity scores were 18-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-12 and 17-15. JV scores were 25-22 and 25-17.

Thursday LCHS hosted Loretto and the varsity went down 0-3 but the JV won 2-0. Varsity scores were 19-25, 17-25, and 14-25. JV scores were 35-19 and 25-11.

This week, district tournament action gets underway with Columbia as the host school. Coming out of the regular season, Coffee Co. finished in the top spot followed by Lincoln County and Columbia. Franklin Co. and Shelbyville were to have a play-in game to determine the four and fifth seeds.

Thursday the ladies take on Columbia at 5:30 p.m. The championship game starts at 7 p.m. Tickets must be purchased online before the tournament. The link has not yet been made available from Columbia High School
