Lincoln County High School's Lady Falcon Volleyball team finished as runner-up in District 8-AAA action held last week at Columbia. The ladies were defeated by Coffee Co. in the championship.

During the tournament, LCHS would be on the court continuously for three and one-half hours playing eight sets.

Ashton Knight and Bre Haislip received All-District 8-AAA honors at the close of the tournament.

The Lady Falcons went into the tournament the second seed behind Coffee Co. followed by Columbia. In the play-in game held on Tuesday of last week, Franklin Co. defeated Shelbyville to say alive in the tournament.

In Thursday's first game action Columbia defeated Franklin Co. to advance to their match-up with Lincoln Co. The Lady Falcons finished on top 3-1 with scores of 17-25, 25-19, 25-15, and 25-15 to advance to the championship game with Coffee Co.

The Lady Red Raiders finished with the win 1-3 over the ladies with scores of 22-25, 20-25, 25-22, and 25-16.

For their next action, the ladies advance to the Region 4 Tournament to be held at Coffee Co. on Tuesday where they will match up with Siegel. The Lady Stars were the winner coming out of District 7 AAA. Game time is at 5:30 pm. Coffee Co. will take on Rockvale, the runner-up from District 7.
