Lincoln County High School’s Amie Neal chips to the green in Region 4 Golf Tournament action held last week at Indian Hills in Murfreesboro. Amie carded the best score for the ladies with a 95.

Lincoln County High School’s Lady Falcons golf team season came to an end in the TSSAA Region 4 Tournament played last week at Indian Hills Golf Course in Murfreesboro.

Amie Neal carded the best score for the ladies with a 95; Addie Neal posted a 98 and Kylie Reese, 120.

“We didn’t have the day we wanted,” said Coach Troy Smith. “We’d posted better scores during practice rounds but I’m proud of the girls for qualifying for the tournament. It’d been several years since Lincoln County had any girls make the cut.”

“The course was wet and slow but everyone competed under the same conditions,” he added. “We had about an hour rain delay but the girls got to go back out and finish. Two of our girls are freshmen and they got some great tournament experience on a tough course with the best competition in the area. My hats off to Tullahoma for qualifying for the state for the third consecutive year.”

In team scores Tullahoma finished in the top spot turning in a 162; Lawrence Co., 164; Central Magnet, 183; Siegel, 189; Lincoln County 193; and Oakland, 220.

Tullahoma’s Mallory TeVrucht won the girls shooting a 78; Lawrence County’s Emma Rochelle followed with an 81.
