Patrick Scott “Scottie” Ables, 51, of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday (Jan. 12, 2020) at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System of Pulaski. Scottie was born on Dec. 12, 1968 in Rantoul, Ill., to the late Henry Leon “Lonnie” Ables, Jr., and Pamela Kay Neal Ables. He was a talented hairdresser and attended Prospect Baptist Church. Scottie loved Dr. Pepper, Facebook and watching movies. Survivors include his brother, Chris (Vickie) Ables of Fayetteville; nieces and nephews, Tanner (Jessica) Ables, Colton Ables and Kaitlyn “Katie Bug” Ables; aunt, Patsy (Kenny) Ivey of Fayetteville; and step-mother, Joan Ables. Memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Prospect Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 1 p.m., until time of service at the church. Burial will be at a later date. The family would like to thank the nurses at Donalson Care Center and Southern Tennessee Regional Health System of Pulaski’s ICU for taking great care of Scottie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntington’s disease Society of America, TN Chapter, P.O. Box 62, Brentwood, TN 37027. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
