Michael Henderson Obituary

Michael Henderson, 63, of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, (April 25, 2021) at Huntsville Hospital. He was born in Lincoln County, TN on March 18, 1958 to B.H. and Alma Sue Fowler Henderson. He served in the United States Army and Tennessee National Guard and worked at Goodman Manufacturing for over 40 years until his retirement. Michael was a member of the West End C.P. Church of America where he was a member of the Men of Fayetteville church choir. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers: Tony Henderson and Reginald Henderson; sister: Birdie Lou Watkins; and niece Melissa Hayes.

Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shelia Hadley Henderson; children, Jeremy Henderson, Kasheena Henderson and Kashunda Henderson all of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Kashi’A Henderson-Corn, Ka’miah Eddings and Londyn Henderson all of Fayetteville; sisters, Emma Bailey of Albion, MI, Lurlie Henderson and Shirley Henderson; brother, Antonio Henderson; mother-in-law, Thelma Hadley; sisters-in-law, Alisha (Tony) Donald, Patricia (Michael) Landers of Fayetteville, Debbie (Lawrence) Carter of Memphis, Barbara Cotham of Nashville; brothers-in-law: Carlos Hadley, Craig Hadley and Chris Hadley all of Fayetteville; James Robert (Matteal) Cross of Chicago, IL, Cliff (Tanya) Hadley of Columbus, GA; first cousin: Joann Henderson; special cousins, Robert C. Harper and Brett Henderson; special nephews and great nephews: Fred Henderson, Jaylin Weaver, Miles Luckett, T.J. Woodard, Zaylin Henderson, Kendric Donald; special nieces and great nieces, Tonetta (Jim) Weaver, “Big” Fonda (Michael) Luckett, Deborah Henderson, “Little” Fonda Henderson, Tonesha (Marcus) Seay, Jazmin Weaver, Nakida Archibold, Nautica Dangerfield, Keeasia Henderson, Na’Kiya Henderson, Kassidy Woodard, Micah Luckett, Moriah Luckett, Zaleigha Seay, Aniyas Seay; and a host of other nieces and nephews; and special friend, Willie Matt Summers.

Homegoing services will be conducted on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Pastor Dezi Fletcher, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 1 until 2:00 p.m. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Michael Henderson.
