Kemarion Mitchrell Lay, also known as “Rango”, 17, of Fayetteville, departed this life on Tuesday, (May 25, 2021) at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Mr. Lay was born on September 23, 2003 to his loving mother Jennifer Harper and father Nathan Lay. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, cousin and friend. He loved basketball, soccer, sports, working and playing his games. He was a loving and respectful young man.
Kemarion leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Jennifer Harper; father, Nathan Lay; brother, Kealando Harper; sisters, Shaneka Lay and Shameka Lay; grandmothers, Mary M. Harper and the late Lillian T. Bowers; grandfather, Louis Harper; aunts: Juanita Harper, Teretha A. Hampton of Fayetteville; uncle, Tony (Queenie) Harper of Nashville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends and family, Evan Young, Fitzgerald Hopkins, Keyshawn and Cason Pullen, Monte Buchanan, Kavareas Divens, Adrian Allen and Michael Edmiston. Homegoing services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with David Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Mulberry Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
