Jimmy Frank “Jimbo” Mitchell, Jr., 40, of Frankewing, passed away on Thursday (Sept. 13, 2018). He was born in Lincoln County on Sept. 23, 1977. Jimbo was a graduate of Lincoln County High School, Motlow State Community College and Athens State University. Jimbo worked as a financial analyst for Aetos Systems and attended Refuge Church. He loved spending time with his children and family, golfing, front porch sitting and watching the Tennessee Vols. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy & Agness Mitchell and Frank & Earlene Petty. Mr. Mitchell is survived by his parents, Jimmy “Cotton” & Peggy Mitchell of McBurg; daughter, Lily Claire Mitchell; sons, Asa Ramsey Mitchell and Silas Reed Mitchell; brothers, Daniel (Breand) Mitchell of Kelso and Chris Mitchell of McBurg; nieces, Julie Mitchell, Reagan Mitchell, Kelci Mitchell, Destini Jensen and McKenzi Holt; and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. at Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Parks and Craig Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in Wright’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
