James Raymond Taylor, 90, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday (Jan. 7, 2019) at Donalson Care Center. He was born in Lincoln County on March 16, 1928, son of the late Roy Tillman and Bessie Lee Benson Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a former employee of Elk Cotton Mill and was a member of West End Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jennifer Taylor. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Faye Taylor of Fayetteville; daughters, Nancy (Steve) Haas of Winchester and Annette (Jim) Scott of Taft; son: Roy (Samantha) Taylor of Kelso; sister, Avis Mitchell; brother, Thomas Taylor; grandchildren, Stacy Lloyd, Jeremy Taylor, Kendra Taylor, Chad Morris, Phillip Morris, Jay Scott, Jesse Scott and Ross Hoffman; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Friday afternoon in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Prospect Cemetery. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
