Harold Tate Obituary

Harold Tate,70, passed from Earth to Glory on Saturday, (January 16, 2021) at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN. Mr. Tate was born on August 23, 1950 in Lincoln County, to the late Willie and Margaret Johnson Tate. Harold attended Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He was a 40-year employee of the Amana Plant until his retirement in 2018. In his earlier years, he was employed at CFW Construction. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Willie Sean Tate; brother, Bill Tate; and sisters, Shirley Cannon and Joyce Watkins. He  survived by a devoted and loving wife of 44 years, Wanda Tate; daughters, Tamieka Tate and Shaniqua Tate, both of Fayetteville; son, U.S. Army Major Harold A. (Tonya) Tate of Fort Campbell, KY; four grandchildren: Emontae Wright, Zakyus Tate, Shaniya Tate, and Andrew Jamir (A.J.) Tate; one great granddaughter, Kalionna Wright; one sister, Edna Waller of Lansing, MI; three brothers, Joe (Sandra) Watkins of Norfolk, VA, Andrew (Frances) Tate of Cleveland, OH, Rickey (Monica) Tate of Landover, MD; three sisters-in-law, Mary Shaw of Rockvale, TN, Lorie (Wallace) Vance of Tullahoma, TN, Paulette Harrison of Shelbyville, TN; three brothers-in-law, George Curtis (Anita) Wright of Las Vegas, NV, Richard (Glenda) Wright of Fayetteville, Pastor Timothy (Yolanda) Wright of Fayetteville; special friends, Betty Jean Henderson, Peggy Knott, Terrence Green, Darius Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Pleasant View Cemetery with Rev. James A. Crutchfield officiating and eulogy by Pastor Timothy Wright. Visitation is Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in honored to service the family of Harold Tate.
