Glenn Howard Hesslink Obituary

Glenn Howard Hesslink, 94, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, (May 26, 2020) at his residence. He was born in Sheboygan, WI on February 22, 1926 to the late Melvin and Leona Schmidt Hesslink. Mr. Hesslink served in the 6th Marine Division of the United States Marine Corps during World War II that invaded Okinawa and was awarded a Presidential Unit Citation. He retired from space industry manufacturing and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming, golfing and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Sylvia Hesslink and great grandchild, Ryan Sherrer. Mr. Hesslink is survived by four daughters, Pamela (William) Rushford of Fayetteville, Patricia (Richard) Volp of Madison, WI, Priscilla Hesslink of Milwaukee, WI and Teresa Pulaski of Sarasota, FL; two sons, David Hesslink and Dennis Hesslink both of Melbourne, FL, 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Clardy officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
