Elsie ‘Jane’ Russell Warren Obituary

Elsie ‘Jane’ Russell Warren, 86, of Kelso, departed this life on Wednesday, (January 13, 2021) at Alive Hospice Murfreesboro. Ms. Warren was born on February 18, 1934 in Lincoln County, TN. Jane was a graduate of Fayetteville Central High School and a former employee of Carter’s Drug Store. She was a longtime active member of the Corder’s Crossroads Church of Christ. She was a past member of Refrigeration Service Engineers Society Auxiliary past president and a member of the Corder’s Crossroads Home Demonstration Club.Jane was a dedicated and beloved Christian wife, mother, family and friend to many. She led a humble, beautiful life of significance and love for family, lifelong friendships, service to church, community and charities.Mrs. Warren is survived by her husband of 62 plus years, Paul A. Warren of Kelso, TN; two sons, Charles Andrew (Sherry) Warren of Fayetteville, TN and Frank Douglas (Matha) Warren of Bradyville, TN; one granddaughter, Kym (Justin) Smith; five great grandchildren, Brennon Rose, Logan Smith, Levi Smith, Ellie Smith and Ethan Smith; three sisters-in-law, Nina Ruth Warren, Irene Russell and Louise Hurd; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and a special lifelong friend, Emma Ruth Jones of Mustang, OK. She is preceded in death by her parents, William H. Russell and Viola Pollock Russell and two brothers, Aubrey Russell and Felix Russell.

A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. 31: “Give her the reward she has earned and let works bring her praise at the city gate.”Graveside services were held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Riverview Memorial Gardens with Dennis Kimery officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Heart Association. Gallant Riverview Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Jane Russell Warren.
