Deborah Jean McDonald Obituary

Deborah Jean McDonald, 64, of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday (May 17, 2020) at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, AL. Ms. McDonald was born on August 23, 1955 in Lincoln County to the late George and Estelle Talley Bright. Deborah was a native of Lincoln County, TN and a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 30 years at nursing homes in Fayetteville and for a few years in Knoxville, TN. She enjoyed caring for the elderly and loved each of her patients dearly.Survivors include her son, Melvyn McDonald; daughter, Brittany McDonald both of Fayetteville; siblings, George (Dorothy) Bright of Louisville, KY, Robert (Annie) Bright of Knoxville, Angela Bright of Fayetteville, Louie Bright of Fayetteville, and Tonya Lightfoot of Lewisburg; granddaughter, Skylar Spicer; and nieces and nephews, Gary (Crysa) Bright, Dwayne Roberts, Dorian Bright, Michael Bright, Samantha Bright and (fiancé Danny Hollis), Anthony Bright, Quenton (Lindsay) Macon, and Christopher Bright. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no public gathering at this time. A private family service will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery with Pastor Kathy Bryson, Deacon George Bright and Deacon Robert Bright officiating.
