Claude Thomas Holt, 90, of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, (January 8, 2021) at Lincoln Medical Center. Funeral service for Mr. Holt will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home with Dr. Jon Hathcock officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at Higgins Funeral Home. Claude was born on July 11, 1930 in Mulberry, TN to the late Thomas Henry and Jimmie Mitchell Holt. Mr. Holt owned and operated Holt’s Auto Salvage and Used Cars until his death. Claude loved fishing, hunting, playing cards, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty Fite Holt; daughters, Amelia Holt-Sysenkham, Barbara Jean Bly, and Kathy Griffin; and grandchildren, Nathan Lance, Claudia Abigail, Thomas, Patricia, Brittany, Sharon, and Christopher. In addition to his parents, Claude was preceded in death by his siblings, Margie Blankenship, J.C. Holt, Bertha Darnell, and Bobby Holt. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Claude Thomas Holt.
