Charles Marty, 77, of Flintville, passed away on Wednesday (Dec. 4, 2019). He was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 19, 1942 to the late R.C. Marty and Irene Smith Marty of Flintville, who survives. Mr. Marty worked in the maintenance division of the State of Tennessee Department of Corrections, was a veteran of the National Guard and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, Mr. Marty is survived by his wife, Patricia McGehee Marty of Flintville; one daughter, Jana Marty (Gary) Jennings of Chapmansboro; one son, Toney Earl Marty of Madison, Ala.; one step-son, Monty P. (Jennifer) O’Neal of Fayetteville; one sister, Teresa “Teri” Marty (Mike) Pitts of Flintville; one brother, Phillip (Brenda) Marty of Flintville; one granddaughter, Cecilia Morgan Jennings; two step-granddaughters, Riley Caitlynne O’Neal and Jaylyn Crabtree; two step-grandsons, Wesley Chase O’Neal and Dylan Crabtree; five nieces, Robin Perry, Lynsey (Matt) Phelps, Katelyn Stout, Maddie Stout and Louise Ingram Marty; three nephews, Nathan (Natalie) Marty, Will Marty and Avery Phelps. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Cleo Moon officiating. Burial followed in Flintville Cemetery. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
