Cecil Tate Scott, 71, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday (Nov. 28, 2018) at his residence. Cecil was born on Sept. 8, 1947 in Marshall County to the late James Fowler and Martha Simpson Scott.  Mr. Scott served during Vietnam in the U.S. Army, and he earned his bachelor's degree in business from Middle Tennessee State University.  Cecil was co-owner of C&S Plastics until 2013 when he retired.  After retirement, he enjoyed watching U.T. Football, NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends.   Survivors include his son, Jimmy (Louise) Scott of Franklin; daughter, Amy Scott (Timothy) Clem of Ardmore; grandchildren, Nora Scott, Amelia Scott, Logan (Olivia) Clem, Maggie Clem, Adam (Kelly) Clem and Samantha Clem; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray Scott and Larry (Nancy) Scott; sisters, Kathy (Mike) Sorrells and Barbara (Bill) Kreykembohm; and caregiver, Neal Scott. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Higgins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Old Orchard Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O.
