Cecil Dwayne Stubblefield, Sr., 85, of Frankewing, passed away on Monday (June 10, 2019). Cecil was born on Jan. 3, 1934 in Giles County to the late Walter Luther and Katherine Virginia Reeves Stubblefield. He worked as a tobacco farmer and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his daughters, Vickie Lynn (Dan) Hasty and Paula Elizabeth Mitchell (Jimmy Jones), all of Pulaski; sons, Timothy Keith (Faye) Stubblefield and Noel Lee (Lisa) Stubblefield, all of McBurg; daughter-in-law, Shelia Stubblefield; brothers, Gary Stubblefield and Allen (Nora) Stubblefield; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Cecil Dwayne Stubblefield, Jr., and sisters, Ann Funk and Carolyn Graham. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Wright's Cemetery next to his wife, Eunice Louise Stubblefield. Bro. Don Hudson will officiate. Visitation with the family will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, at Higgins Funeral Home.
