Addie Joyce Beddingfield, 84, of Fayetteville, was called home on Wednesday morning (June 19, 2019). She was born on Feb. 14, 1935 in Lincoln County to the late Clarence Fulton and Claudia Caroline Modlin Smith. A long-time native of Fayetteville, Addie was known by many names around town: Mom, Granny, Nana, GG (by her great-grandkids) and friend. Addie dedicated her life to the service of others, with a career as a nurse, a passionate dedication to her church home at Liberty church of Christ, a dedication to the local Senior Center and a smile and heart that were able to reach countless people. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wayne Beddingfield; sisters, Lucille Hopkin, Mary Honey and Thelma Swing; and brother: Robert Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Paula (Gary) Forrester of Ardmore and Maria (Dennis) Faulkner of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Brandon (Amy) Forrester, Hilary (Scott) Brown, Adam Faulkner and Crystal Faulkner; and great-grandchildren, Renee Brown and Brianna Brown. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Tim Rice, Adam Faulkner and Gary Forrester officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
