Tablescapes 2021 to feature new look

Tablescapes 2021 will look different this year. There will be fewer tables, tickets are being sold only at the door, refreshments will be served differently and a new take on the silent auction is planned. However, the beautifully created table designs won’t disappoint! And, it’s a great opportunity to meet your friends for an enjoyable evening.

The event is planned for Thursday, May 6  from 4:30 – 7 p.m. at the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Museum and will feature seven tables. Organizers limited the number of tables in order to continue following social distancing precautions.

Since last year’s event was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, attendees are looking forward to seeing new and creative ideas by table sponsors. Each sponsor selects their own theme and decorations that are limited only by the imagination.

Light refreshments that are individually wrapped will be provided and self-serve drinks will be available. The silent auction will use a closed bid process where a bid is written on a piece of paper and submitted without knowing if your bid is higher or lower than other bids. Winners will be announced after all bids have been tabulated. Bid items are still being accepted. All proceeds from the evening benefit the museum.

Admission is $10 per person and your ticket is the ballot to vote for the People’s Choice award. Anonymous judges will determine the winner of the Professional Best of Show for a business, Amateur Best of Show for an individual or group, Best Theme and Best Place Setting. Winners will be announced at the end of the event.
