Lisa Simmons has announced her candidacy for the office of Lincoln County Circuit Court Clerk in the Aug. 2 general election.
Simmons is the daughter of Garry and Gail Corder. She and her husband, Manuel, reside in the Flintville community. They have a daughter, Chelsea (Jeffrey) Howard, and grandson, Daniel. She also has a son, Nathan Simmons.

She and her husband are members of the Smithland Community Church.
“I am very thankful to be running unopposed this year and consider it a compliment,” Simmons said. “I want to thank Lincoln County for allowing me to continue to serve you as your circuit court clerk. I have served one term as circuit court clerk, but I have been employed in the clerk’s office for 16 years.
“The last four years as circuit court clerk have been a great learning experience,” she added. “I would greatly appreciate your vote and continued support in the August election.
“My staff and I look forward to continuing to serve you, the citizens of Lincoln County. Thank you again for allowing me to serve you as your circuit court clerk.”
