Major drug bust on Cherry Street

Ernest Dale McCormick, a Fayetteville residen, has been arrested in several substantial drug-related charges. His residence, located at 501 Cherry Street, was searched under the authorization of a narcotics search warrant, leading investigators to recover a large quantity of narcotics and US currency.

“During the search,” the post read, “Investigators located over 5 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of over $100,000, a large amount of marijuana, numerous narcotic pills, and a substantial amount of US currency that proceeded from the sale of narcotics.”

Ernest Dale McCormick was arrested for Possession Schedule II Meth, Possession Schedule II Meth for Resale, Possession Schedule VI for resale, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Mr. McCormick is being held at the Lincoln County Jail on a $922,500 bond. Mr. McCormick’s arrest and the confiscation of these illegal narcotics was the result of a lengthy investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics and Criminal Investigation Division.
