During a routine traffic stop on Huntsville Highway late Friday afternoon, three individuals were taken into custody and charged with possession of drugs, including heroin.
According to Investigator Mike Pitts with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, the K-9 dog alerted on the vehicle. Inside the vehicle, deputies found drugs that would be in a larger quantity than for personal use, along with drug paraphernalia.
One of the suspects taken into custody, Ross Massey, was on the Top 10 Wanted List for outstanding warrants, Pitts noted.
Massey, 31, of 165 Shelbyville Hwy., was charged with two counts of possession of schedule I heroin for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia and a violation of community corrections. He was held on $112,000 bond.
Wendy Medley, 33, of 237 Union Hollow Road, Petersburg, was charged with possession of schedule I heroin for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of schedule I heroin. She was held on $102,000 bond.
Nathan King, 32, of 1768 Winchester Hwy., was charged with four counts of possession of schedule IV for resale, possession of schedule III for resale and possession of schedule III. He was held on $155,000 bond.
