An undetermined amount of cash was stolen from a clerk Tuesday evening during an armed robbery at a state line lottery store.
About 8:44 p.m. two men entered Lucky’s Lotto, one brandishing an AK type of gun, stated Investigator Patrick Murdock of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. The other person may not have been armed, the investigator said.
Two witnesses saw the men leave the store and get into an older model gray car near the church at the state line. The vehicle turned on Hunter Road and was last seen eastbound on that roadway.
“We have a good video,” said Murdock, noting that the suspects are described as two black males about six-feet tall. One of the males was dressed in all black clothing.
Murdock reached out to Huntsville Police Department detectives with the details of the robbery, but thus far in the investigation, other similar cases have not been matched.
