One man and three juveniles were taken into custody late Sunday evening following an alleged armed robbery that took place earlier that night on Elmwood Avenue.
Fayetteville Police Department had been looking for a person in connection with the robbery and had issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) on a black SUV that was believed to have been used by the suspect.
Later that evening, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Justin Gault stopped the suspected vehicle at 2628 Huntsville Highway and found one adult and three young men in the vehicle, along with a stolen handgun, two BB guns and a large amount of counterfeit cash.
Patrolman Kostyantyn Afisov charged James Michael Rich, 18, 681 Bobo Section Rd., Hazel Green, Ala., with aggravated robbery and contributing to the delinquency of minors. The juveniles will face charges in juvenile court.
