A small fire that began in a Simmons Circle resident’s trailer late Friday evening was reported as an arson.
The resident of the trailer, Trey Dobbins, reported to the sheriff’s department that someone threw a burning object through the window of the trailer.
The report noted that Dobbins, a hearing impaired man, ran to alert the owner of the trailer, Troy Paonessa, of the fire, and it was extinguished before the Park City Fire Department arrived on the scene.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
Patrick Murdock, an investigator with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, was contacted about the suspicious fire.
According to Doug Campbell, EMA director, the fire will be investigated by the state fire marshal sometime this week.
